Mobile Police Station Cleaner

Job Introduction

Pinnacle Group is recruiting an experienced Mobile Police Station Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within Police Stations and Custody suites. You will be joining our Soft Facilities Management Cleaning Team covering x 36 North Yorkshire Police Stations. 

 

Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations – including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care.

 

The Police Station Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, secure, and hygienic environments. The role supports the smooth running of the site by ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned to the required standard and in line with health and safety, confidentiality, and site security requirements 

 

We are offering a Fulltime Permanent Contract and you will be working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, between 6am – 6pm, with the expectation of additional weekend cover as Overtime for sickness and annual leave. You are also provided with a fully financed company electric vehicle and mobile phone

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Clean designated police station areas including offices, communal areas, corridors, entrances, toilets, kitchens, interview room access areas, and other agreed locations.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, and empty bins as required.
  • Clean and sanitise washroom and kitchen facilities, replenishing consumables where required.
  • Ensure cleaning products, equipment, and materials are used safely, securely, and stored correctly.
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards, damage, security concerns, or stock shortages to the supervisor or contract manager promptly.
  • Follow site-specific cleaning schedules, risk assessments, method statements, police station procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, discretion, and attention to detail at all times.
  • Use personal protective equipment where required and comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Respect all confidentiality and security requirements while working on site.
  • Secure cleaned areas where necessary, including switching off lights and closing doors as instructed.
  • Complete any reasonable cleaning duties requested by the supervisor or management team. 

 

Key requirements:

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence ** Essential
  • Travel between multiple sites throughout North Yorkshire according to cleaning schedules.
  • Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests and emergency cleaning requirements when necessary.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks with knowledge of colour coding, manual handling, COSHH & Health & Safety 
  • The appointment to this role will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Check 
  • You must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
