Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Introduction

Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of buildings, mechanical and gas services, associated systems, plant, and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and to participate in a rotating shift pattern and the out of hours on call rota.

 

You will be joining our Total FM team based in Exeter. The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.

 

This is a full time, permanent role with a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am - 4pm and 10am - 6pm between the days of Monday-Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned maintenance as per the PPM schedule and maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate.
  • Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
  • Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation work.
  • Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Collaborate and co-operate with partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focused service.
  • Work closely with the Helpdesk to ensure jobs raised on the CAFM system are closed correctly.

 

Key requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in gas safety and mechanical engineering
  • Gas and mechanical engineering experience.
  • Able to participate in the on-call Rota system.
  • Practical knowledge of Statutory compliance requirements
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance at enhanced level.
  • Full driving license
