Job Introduction
Pinnacle Group are seeking an experienced People Partner to join our People Service Families division, delivering effective, evidence-based people solutions, support and advice to enable the organisation to achieve its people priorities and address key workforce challenges. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will manage multiple people matters simultaneously, providing commercially focused guidance across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, change management, and employment legislation, while ensuring consistency and compliance. As a trusted advisor, you will coach and challenge stakeholders to build capability, support change initiatives, and drive high-quality outcomes, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Pinnacle Service Families manages 49,000 military family homes across the UK – one of the largest and most significant contracts within Pinnacle Group. Delivered on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), part of the Ministry of Defence, our work supports service families by providing well-managed services and advocating for their needs in everything we do.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced People Partner professional with a strong track record of managing complex employee relations cases and supporting organisational change from end to end. You will have a solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to provide clear, commercially focused advice in a fast-paced environment. Confident influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels, you will bring excellent communication and relationship-building skills, alongside the ability to coach managers and drive capability. Experience working in multi-site environments and relevant sectors such as facilities management, housing, or contact centres would be advantageous, along with a CIPD qualification or progress towards one.
This is a hybrid role based in Speke, Liverpool, with a requirement to work on-site 2–3 days per week, alongside travel to Chelmsford, Essex once a month.

Key responsibilities will include:
Employee Relations
Provide expert, pragmatic advice and guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Advise on a broad range of complex ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence, and capability matters.
- Coach, guide, and constructively challenge stakeholders to support sound, evidence-based, and commercially balanced decision-making.
- Support managers in preparing for formal processes, ensuring adherence to policy, appropriate documentation, and best practice.
- Review and provide quality assurance on investigation reports, outcome letters, and case documentation to ensure a high and consistent standard.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of People policies and procedures across all cases.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage people-related risks, escalating high-risk or complex matters as appropriate.
- Analyse ER trends and root causes, providing insights and recommending proactive interventions, training, and continuous improvement actions.
Change Management
Provide specialist advice and support on organisational change and TUPE processes, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
- Lead on guiding stakeholders through organisational change processes, including restructures, consultation requirements (individual and collective), and contractual changes.
- Lead on inbound and outbound TUPE processes, ensuring adherence to employment legislation and organisational standards.
- Lead the planning and delivery support of consultation activity, ensuring clear, transparent, and compliant communication.
- Lead the coordination and implementation of change initiatives, working collaboratively with the wider People team and key stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate employee data management and documentation throughout change and TUPE processes.
- Identify and mitigate risk associated with organisational change, providing clear recommendations to support decision-making.
Manager Capability & Guidance
Strengthen stakeholder capability through coaching, clear guidance, and expert advice.
- Provide timely, consistent, and commercially focused advice to stakeholders on People policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Coach managers to build capability, confidence, and accountability in managing people matters effectively.
- Apply a balanced approach, considering both organisational priorities and employee experience.
- Offer constructive challenge to improve decision-making and ensure alignment with policy and best practice.
- Support and, where appropriate, deliver training and workshops to enhance management capability on people-related topics.
Learning, Culture & Engagement
Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organisational culture.
- Support initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion.
- Coach stakeholders to build high-performing teams aligned to organisational values.
- Promote a positive employee experience by ensuring fair, consistent, and transparent people practices.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work collaboratively to deliver an effective, insight-led People service and drive continuous improvement.
- Leads delivery of People projects and strategic initiatives aligned to organisational priorities within the PSF business area.
- Partner with colleagues across the People directorate (Talent, People Services & Payroll) to deliver joined-up, high-quality end-to-end support.
- Build strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Analyse people data and metrics (e.g. ER trends, absence, turnover) to generate insights and inform decision-making.
- Contribute to regular reporting and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, ensuring advice remains current and relevant.
- Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of People policies, procedures, and ways of working.
Key requirements:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in a HR/People Advisor/HRBP role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Proven track record managing complex ER cases.
- Strong experience managing start‑to‑finish change processes.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret HR data, confident identifying trends and underlying issues.
- High level of professional integrity and discretion.
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
- Experience within a multi-site environment.
- Confident working in fast-paced environments.
- Technology confident
- Experience of working within a contact centre and/or facilities management and/or housing management business.
